On the bus back from the hospital last week a woman got on in one of those annoyingly fake good moods. She gave her money to the driver and attempted to have a little joke with him, but he wasn't having any of it. Having shared more of the journey with him, on a packed bus full of screaming kids on the school run, I sympathised with him.
She looked at him and said 'Smile. It might never happen'
I wanted to say to her: 'What if it already has?'
