So this is the logo for the London 2012 Olympics. And this is the explanation.
I'm saying nothing.*
You can, however, read what 'the great British public' are saying on the BBC's 'Have Your Say' page.
*That's cos it's shite.

You know... It's not so bad. It's bearable. It's a bit different.
It's very cliched, trying to be "down with the kids" and all that, but it's not half as bad as the Morrisons logo. I know they're two completely different ballparks, but I really don't think it's that bad.
Any reasons for why you think it's shite? I'm interested as to what you think about it.
I just think it's very poor - inelegant, doesn't look like it will reproduce well at small sizes and across things like balloons, clothing, badges etc.
Plus there's nothing worse than a 'trendy' logo seven years later. If this is 'today' (which I don't think it is) then in 2012 it will just look old.
AS for 'engaging with youth', well given that the Olympics requires support from the whole population, especially those who are paying for it through taxes, it seems odd to come up with a logo that deliberately alienates them...
So many reasons...
